Photo - light, Graphy - illustrations or drawings or say documentation. For him photography as an expressive art form, is about defining reality, and that really requires tearing down layers of perceptions. Studying and Understanding vision created by sight.

All our five senses are outward bound, specifically designed for self-Preservation, create a sense of things and take pleasure, like the skin as a sense organ conveys a perceived threat or pleasure, the eye conveys segments of the spectrum of light that are reflected by objects, same with the ears and the nose and the tongue, continuously discovering and registering new knowledge that would be used for survival, Senses create boundaries between the observer and the observed; from senses duality originates.
The human sight perceives VIBGYOR, now we don’t know if there’re more colours than the VIBGYOR or are these colours created by only human perception, consider owls and Dogs or Cats and their visibility different animals hold the ability to capture different spectrums of light and colours.
It’s disenchanting but the question falls to... how much of what we see is real? Colour being in question, How much reality does our vision create?
White and Black are real because these are the two dominant forces that make vision possible, photo ie; Light is plain white, shadows ie; absence of light, which is black.
White and black is simple, minimal, very grounding, hard hitting, B&W does not seek attention,

COLOUR

Colours confuse, they alarm and excite the human subconscious, and ignite compulsive action; they’re not minimal, advertising is based on colours, colours drive a humans basic instinct towards want, or lust, colours create attraction, colours create an urgency, they’re manipulative in that sense.

colourful objects absorb light and reflect only one quality of it which is the colour that we perceive.. The rose isn't "Red"in itself, it absorbs all colours from the spectrum of light and reflects only red colour, in reality rose is everything else except 'Red'.
